Bonfire event by St Joseph’s will be celebrating 30 years
A BONFIRE event organised by the PTA of a Harborough school is taking place on Saturday, November 3.
The St Joseph’s Bonfire Night event is in its 30th year and is one of the biggest and most popular in the Harborough district.
The organisers are expecting that about 3,000 people will be there on the night to enjoy the display.
It is the major fundraiser for the primary school’s PTA and people are being asked to come along to the event to enjoy the fireworks and to support the school.
As well as a 20-minute fireworks display there will be refreshments and fun to be had with stalls and the HFM roadshow. Entry to the event costs £5 (£3 for under-18s).
Gates open at 6.30pm with the fireworks starting at about 7.45pm. Arrive early to avoid the queues. The event is on the school’s playing field, which is off Coventry Road opposite the Cottage Hospital.
