SCHOOLS in the Harborough area are getting ready, once again, to take the plunge and face the gunge for this year's It's a Knockout competition.
The annual competition, run by Market Harborough Round Table, will give children the opportunity to tack
le obstacles and overcome ridiculous hurdles to win cash for their schools.
The Round Table has donated £600 in cash prizes to be split among the first (£300), second (£200) and third (£100) placed schools.
It's A Knockout begins at 2pm, but teams need to be in the arena from 1.30pm.
Round Table chairman Tony Walters said: "We have invited all the local primary schools to enter a team in our annual It's A Knockout competition. It's great fun - there are some great prizes on offer and we encourage everyone to get involved. We have lots of games and I can guarantee the children will get wet and gunged!"
Harborough Round Table is open to men aged 18 to 45 and raises money for charities and good causes. It also holds social events. The group meets fortnightly on the first, third and fifth Thursdays of the month.
Associated with Round Table is the Ladies Circle, open to women of the same age range.
