YOUNG runners are being urged to sign up for this year's Harborough Carnival fun run in aid of deserving causes.
The 1km run for children aged eight to 14 will take place on Sunday, June 13, from 10.30am on the fields behind Harborough Leisure Centre.

A shorter dash will be held for under-eights.

Entrants are being encouraged to raise sponsorship, half of
which will go to the 1st Bowden and 3rd Market Harborough Scouts, with the remainder going to a cause of the runner's choice.

The event is fully managed and requires no participation from parents or teachers on the day.

Fun run organiser Tracy Campe said: "It is a fantastic opportunity for children to raise funds for their school or charity.

"All they have to do is raise sponsorship for the event and their chosen charity will keep half of everything they raise."

To enter the fun run email tracy.campe@googlemail.com with your name, contact telephone number, age and the charity you will be running for.

Click here to download a sponsorship form.

Forms are also available from the Harborough Mail offices, in 9 Northampton Road, Harborough.
