The Carnival Parade, once again organised by Harborough Lions, should be in line by 11am at Burnmill Road, and will set off at midday.
It will travel down the High Street, and turn into Coventry Road, heading out of town. It will then go south down
Farndon Road, along Welland Park Road, into Northampton Road and will finish at the entrance to Symington's Recreation Ground in St Mary's Road.
Companies, charities, groups, clubs and organisations spend hours decorating their floats and choosing their costumes for the traditional parade.
This year, there is no specific theme to the carnival and everyone taking part has been allowed to let their imaginations run riot.
Thanks must once again go to haulage firm Stephen Sanderson Transport – the firm has been generously providing float lorries free of charge for more than 30 years.
Keep an eye out for pupils from Ridgeway Primary School, who will be attempting to hold onto the first place (junior section) they won last year with their Hawaiian-themed float.
A panel of judges will be casting their eyes over all the entries to pick the best. There are prizes for adult and junior sections.
First place in each wins £75, second £40 and third wins £25.
The parade is organised by the Harborough Lions, who raise about £5,000 every year for charities and good causes.
The group meets at The Angel Hotel in Harborough on the first Tuesday of the month and its branch group meets at the Angel on the second Tuesday.
Float organisers are asked to make sure children on floats are well supervised so they don't fall over, especially when the float is going over humps.

HOW TO ENTER A PARADE FLOAT

Perhaps you are a member of a group which has always wanted to enter but is not sure how to?
It's great fun taking part and easier than you think – simply follow the Mail's step-by-step guide:
* Get together – speak to your neighbours, friends or members of your group to drum up support and come up with imaginative themes for your float.
* Contact John Price of the Carnival Committee on john071039@hotmail.com to register your interest or phone him on 01858 462718.
* Book your transport for the day – Harborough-based Stephen Sanderson Transport provides the lorries for the carnival floats. Phone them on 01858 466499 or 410117 to book.
* Start collecting cardboard, cloth, paint and other materials to dress your float with and for costumes. Businesses might help by donating packaging.
* About a week before the carnival, Sanderson's will finalise your booking arrangements - they will either leave your lorries in their yard for you to dress up, or deliver it to a suitable location the evening before or morning of the carnival.
* Make your float as colourful as possible and try to design safety features such as guide ropes into it to help prevent people falling off.
* Try to make sure there is one adult for every five children on the float. Children should also be seated while it is moving and two adults must act as stewards, walking alongside at all times.
* Hope for good weather and enjoy the day!
